||I am a graduate student at McGill University and I just finished my first year of PhD there. I am mostly interested in theoretical syntax and its interactions with semantics, although phonology is also a field for which I have great interest. I particularly want to come to egg to get a wider view of recent linguistic theory and not only know about what goes on in my own department. I will try to attend the classes on OT phonology (especially with John Harris), as well as the syntax classes. I will also certainly not miss the occasion to see Uli Sauerland, as her approach to semantics closely matches my own. Of course, a visit to Eastern Europe is also a chance that I do not want to miss. I am also excited to meet linguistics students and faculty from around the world in a more relaxed atmosphere that will allow me to meet and discuss with them with ease.
