||I am currently entering my fourth and final year in Linguistics a Concordia University and will be graduating with honours come May 2008. After completing the majority of my program I have narrowed my main interest to Language Aquisition. To pursue research studies on children's aquisition of L1 would be extremely interesting to me, and I feel that a comprehensive understanding of Generative Grammar and its working components is essential in attempting to decipher this complicated phenomenon. Ultimately however, I would like to work on aquistion of people's second, third, fourth language etc. It would be interesting to research how L2(...)aquisition differs and compares to that of L1, and how age difference effects the aquisition of other languages. I realize that this is a vast subject and more precise thought is needed to make any advances, which is why I feel that attending the egg will benefit me in my understanding of GG and help me to further specify what I would like to research in order to finish my undergrad and enter a masters.
I thank you for considering me to attend the conference and hope that I will be able to participate come July-August.
