||I am finishing my Master's at the University of Tromsų in June and will start my Ph.D. in August. Although my interests are mainly in syntax, I am eager to learn more on semantic at the EGG this year. I have been (and will be) working on topic/focus marking in Japanese, and looking at the titles of the courses, I find that many of them might quite possibly provide me with answers (and more of interesting questions) to what I have been thinking regarding the topic mentioned above. I am especially interested in both of Herburger's courses, Nevins' on Case and Noonan's on the structure of PP. Since I have been looking at distribution of embedded topic/focus markers in Japanese together with that of embedded V2 in Norwegian, my interests are also in Koeneman's course on verb movement and Sauerland's on semantics of embedded clauses.
