Development of verb categories in first language acquisition

This course will provide students with background knowledge about the general structure of verb categories in Germanic as opposed to Slavic languages. Speed of acquisition and well as timing and sequence of the acquisition of verb categories will be treated in details. Issues of productivity and input frequency (and saliency) will be discussed as well.
