Introducing Optimality Theory in Phonology

This introductory course will cover the basic architecture and
properties of Optimality Theory. The empirical context for the
introduction will be stress and basic syllable structure. No previous
background in phonological theory will be presupposed; the course will
work as a primer to both phonological analysis and Optimality Theory.
