Semantics and Pragmatics in Language Disordered Children

Various disorders in children can affect the semantic and pragmatic performance. I review some of the studies showing the effect of language disorders and broader disorders on semantics and pragmatics.
As I do so, I try to tackle the question whether there is ever a specific impairment for semantics and/or pragmatics and what we can learn about these systems from the pattern of impairments about semantics/pragmatics.
