Neuromorphology: How the brain detects and analyzes morphological constituents

Linnaea Stockall

In this course we'll focus on the earliest stages of linguistic processing and try to understand how our brains might detect potential morphological constituents and what use we can make of this morphological information in guiding syntactic and semantic structure building. We'll consider important differences in the nature of visual and auditory linguistic information and their implications for models of morphological analysis and lexical organization.
