I am a graduate student of English Philology Department at the University of Wroclaw and I am currently pursuing an M.A. program in generative linguistics.
The fields I deal with are morphology and syntax, and I intend to center my thesis around contrasting morphosyntactic phenomena that stay behind compounding processes in Polish and English. I also take great interest in phonology.
I find generative grammar appealing in its flexibility towards predicting lingustic phenomena based on the idea of positing a simple, yet powerful system capable of predicting complex phenomena.
I am always eager to find an opportunity to expand my knowledge, especially when it comes to experiencing a unique, creative atmosphere and meeting new people in person. |
