I am currently enrolled in the final semester of my bachelor studies of English Language and Literature at Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. I will have obtained my BA degree by June, 2010.During the last three years of my secondary education I have taken various courses in Linguistics, Literature and social and cultural history of English speaking world which will certainly serve as a good educational basis for my further studies. Moreover, I plan to continue my masters studies within this field, with special emphasis on Linguistics.
I would like to come to this year's EGG summer school because my senior colleagues have recommended it as a great opportunity to take new classes in various linguistics subjects and to meet people who share the same or similar interests as I do. I am most interested in the courses on phonology, especially in Phonological Computation and as for the syntax, I would like to attend the classes in Nanosyntax and Determiner Spreading.My attendance to any of the offered courses in this year's EGG will certainly be beneficial to me and serve as a good basis for my future MA studies in Linguistics. |
