I am mainly interested in studying syntax. My previous linguistic experience involved researching for and writing the papers for graduating from the University (on Sequence of Tenses) and from the master programme in formal linguistics (paper on the syntax and distribution of Romanian Genitives), at the University of Bucharest. Moreover, I am currently writing my PhD thesis on the Temporal Interpretation of NPs in English and Romanian. The topic of the latter became familiar to me during the 2004 EGG Summer School, which I attended with great interest*.
I hope to be admitted for this year's summer school as I am convinced that I will profit from the debates/ info in the classes. I would like to attend the seminars devoted to Neurolinguistics and related areas, as well as language acquisition. They seem particularly appealing in light of the fact that I am the mother of a 3-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy, who continuously challenge my (so far little)knowledge of acquisition.
