I'm studying ergativity from a typological and syntactical perspective. In what regards the syntax perspective, I have chosen the generative model. Every lecture in generative syntax (especially those which regard the Verb Phrase) is very useful for me.I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Bucharest. I have attended syntax courses at the University of Bucharest, The University Paris 7, and at the EALing school (fall 2007) in Paris. My background in linguistics includes the collaboration at the new Romanian Academic grammar (2005); I am involved in a project about (diachronic) linguistic change - grammaticalisation in Old Romanian; I am one of the authors of the new Romanian History of Language (work in progress); I am one of the authors of a volume about the grammatical dinamics of the Romanian Language.I write for several Romanian linguistic reviews: Revue Romaine de Linguistique (I am also a member of the Editorial Board), Language and Literature, Romanian Language. I also wrote several articles on the topic of ergativity in collective volumes, and I attended conferences with papers on this topic (Bucharest 2005, 2006, 2007, Cluj 2007 etc.). |
