I'm in my final year of PhD, working on negation and polarity. I'm mainly interested in semantics and phenomena at the syntax/semantics interface, and as such, curious about the classes on intervention effects, reciprocals and semantics of questions. Moreover, I find EGG an excellent opportunity to compensate for the lack of classes in the PhD program in France. Consequently, I'm looking forward to the debate surrounding remnant movement and since I have no special personal feelings on it, I'm very open-minded to arguments for or against it. Of course, by the end of EGG, I will have a very clear and well-argumented position on the topic. May the best arguments win! |
