I am studying general linguistics and french philology since 2004.
My main interest is syntactic and morphological theory. I am dealing with argument encoding patterns (how arguments are realized in syntax and how they are encoded in morphology, mismatches between both), constraints on and properties of movement, the modelling of the syntax/morphology interface, and differences/similarities of syntax and morphology.
I attained knowledge in the following frameworks: Minimalist Program, OT (in phonology, syntax, morpholgy), Distributed Morpholgy, Paradigm Function Morphology, Minimalist Morphology, A-Morphous Morphology, and basics of GPSG and GB.
I want to come to EGG because I hope I can broaden my knowledge about movement processes (especially remnant movement which I haven't dealt with in detail), syntactic argumentation and the modelling of generalizations over data.
Furthermore, I am looking forward to meet people from differnt countries/cities with similar interests, as well as to learn about current research topics and new approaches. |
