I'm studying applied linguistics in the 8th term at the University of Salzburg. Our linguistic department focuses on psycholinguistic topics like language acquisition and its various developmental disorders. Generally, I'm very interested in language acquisition - above all in the acquisition of syntax. The topic of my master thesis is an experimental study about wh-movement. In the course of my master thesis, which will also be part of the COST A33 study, I´m testing a control group consisting of 5yr old normally developped children to see whether they produce relative clauses or not. Therefore, my motivation for the participation is to get more information about the study itself and about topics like language acquisition, acquisition of morpho-syntax and disturbed acquisition. In addition, I'm of the opinion that it would really be interesting to discuss these topics with other students as well as with teachers and that this summer school would have a very positive influence on the writing process of my master thesis which I tend to finish next spring. |
