I am currently studying Linguistics and German at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, USA. I've just started my studies, so I am not totally sure what field interests me the most- I'm still getting a feel for this crazy, fascinating science, but I'm really enjoying my Syntax courses and Phonology course so far. I've heard fabulous things about this school, both academically and socially, from friends of mine who have attended previous years, and who are attending EGG 2009. This would be a wonderful opportunity for me academically, and socially to meet other students, and I am specifically interested in attending Poechtrager's Introduction to Government Phonology, as well as the introduction to language aquisition and Finley's course on Vowel Harmony. |
