I started my M.A. programme in linguistics this year at Wroclaw University. My thesis will probably be devoted to linguistic issues connected with wordnets - electronic lexical databases that are extenxively used in Natural Language Processing. Although there are no classes during this EGG connected directly with this topic, I think I can still benefit from the courses on different aspects of computation in phonology. Maybe some new research ideas will come to my mind? I also know very little about nanosyntax, so I would like to attend classes by Michal Starke and Tarald Taraldsen. And of course, after spending a good deal of time with great people in Poznan last year I'm looking forward to another exciting holiday! |
